About

Teter Organic Farm Camp was developed in response to community excitement and interest in hands-on nature and sustainability educational programming at our farm.  After 2 years of offering educational hands-on farm tours for kids at Teter Farm, we have decided that we have a great opportunity to expand our programming and provide a more immersive summer experience for kids.  After consulting with a variety of experts and gathering a team of passionate, experienced individuals, we are excited to offer a day camp experience that is safe, fun, and educational.  While the organizational support of Noblesville First United Methodist Church make this endeavor possible, the camp is not religious in orientation.

The Property

Teter Retreat and Farm is a beautiful 120-acre property nestled along a bend in the White River. Forested walking trails border the White River and provide a beautiful backdrop for kids to learn about nature and how the great outdoors is connected to the food we eat.  The property also contains grassy play areas, a picnic shelter, play structure, basketball court, volleyball court, outdoor stage, meeting lodge, cabins, and an educational garden.  During the summer camp session, all of our facilities are reserved for your child to enjoy.  During the rest of the year our facilities, including the meeting lodge and cabins, are utilized for a variety of retreats and events such as overnight retreats, birthday parties, team- building activities, and family reunions.

Teter Retreat has a rich history that is linked to Indy-area daredevil Lucky Teter and his sister Ruth Teter.  Find out more about Lucky Teter here...
Teter Retreat and Farm is located in White River Township, in Hamilton County, Indiana.

The Farm

Teter Organic Farm (TOF) was founded in 2016 with the idea that everybody should have access to healthy fresh produce.  We grow over 30 varieties of vegetables and chemical-free hay, raise chickens and tend beehives.  Since 2016, TOF has donated over 30,000 USDA Servings of fresh produce to local food pantries.  During the season, you can purchase Teter Organic Farm vegetables at the Noblesville Farmers Market and receive vegetables through their weekly veggie box subscription program.  We provide educational farm tours to groups of all kinds. We offer a variety of family-friendly volunteer opportunities and events throughout the year.

Teter Organic Farm is a project of Noblesville First United Methodist Church (NFUMC). In 1981, Ruth Teter willed the property to the church, a longtime active force for good in our local community.  NFUMC serves as our sponsoring non-profit and helps provide the resources and support to ensure a high quality and safe camp experience for campers.  During the season, we have many volunteers from NFUMC who also help with vegetable donations, site beautification, and educational farm tours.
